River Links

What is River Links?

River Links is a project of the River Alliance of Wisconsin that makes books, toolkits and videos available to Wisconsin river and watershed organizations to assist them with their organizational development and conservation work. These materials are available through your local public library. This project was made possible with support from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Wisconsin′s Water Library and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

How can my organization benefit from these materials?
Whether you are thinking of starting a watershed organization or strengthening your existing group, you can benefit from these materials. They contain a wealth of information, tips, guides, sample documents and case studies to help ensure the success of your efforts, whether you are designing a campaign to restore a river or develop a greenway, working to build a more effective board, or raising money for conservation work, .

Where can I access the materials?
You can access these materials through your local public library by making an interlibrary loan request. Simply ask your local librarian for the publication by title. For local library locations, consult the Wisconsin Library Directory at http://www.badgerlink.net/ or 800.441.4563.

You can also request the materials online through Wisconsin′s Water Library (www.aqua.wisc.edu/waterlibrary). The materials will be sent to your local library for pick up and return.

How long may I keep the materials?
The standard library loan period is generally four weeks for books and one week for videos. Loan periods may vary depending upon the individual library′s lending policy. Ask your library for specifics when requesting materials.
