The River Alliance of Wisconsin relies on the generosity and commitment of our major individual donors to continue our work protecting and preserving Wisconsin's rivers. The members of our two major donor categories, Voyageurs and Explorers, play a significant role in the continued success of the River Alliance.
Voyageur — literally “traveler” in French.
Created to encourage able members to make a significant contribution to the River Alliance, the Voyageurs are a dedicated group of river supporters whose commitment literally is helping to transform the organization.
Voyageurs are individuals who commit at least $1000 per year to the River Alliance. They come from varied background, but all share on thing--a deep love for and understanding of the importance of Wisconsin's rivers.
River Alliance Voyageurs receive special perks for becoming members, not the least of which is the strong satisfaction of knowing they are major players in saving Wisconsin's rivers. As former River Alliance board chair and current Voyageur Rebecca Power says, "The resources I have put into the River Alliance over time have been returned manifold as I've seen our list of successes grow."
