Get Involved
- Become a Member! - Our members are the backbone of the River Alliance. Becoming a member is easy; just $35 per year ($25 for new member) gets you a subscription to The Flow (our quarterly newsletter), invites to events, and the satisfaction of knowing you are helping to save Wisconsin’s rivers. Click here to become a member today.
- Come to a River Alliance Event or Outing - Knowing Wisconsin’s rivers is a vital part of saving them. That’s why the River Alliance, each year, schedules a series of fun and informative Make a Date with a River events throughout the state, giving members a chance to experience—and enjoy—some of the nearly 40000 miles of rivers our state boasts.
- Get Involved in a Local Group - Saving our rivers, for some supporters, means getting their hands a little dirtier than writing a letter or sending a check. The best way to do that is to get involved in a local river or watershed group near you. There are over 150 local groups around the state, big and small, dedicated to rivers in their backyards. Contact Allison Werner to learn more about them and how you can get your boots in the water. Can’t find a group for your favorite river? Consider forming one yourself…we can help you with that too.
- Advocate for your river - Do you want to connect with your legislator on important river issues? Do you have a local issue you need advice about? Let us know and we’ll help you get engaged, from your city council to the State Capitol.
