Description
Enjoy fall in its cool and colorful glory along this forested section of the Wisconsin River, downstream of the Rainbow Flowage. The mostly flatwater 10-mile trip includes the Rainbow Rapids (Class I). Joining us as co-hosts of this event is the Northwoods Land Trust, which works with private landowners to permanently protect special lands in the north, including the Eggleston property along the river, where we'll stop to learn more about land conservation via easements.
Where: Put in just below the Rainbow Flowage on Hwy. D east of Lake Tomahawk, and take out at Bridge Road just east of McNaughton. The paddle is about 10 miles, and lunch is included in this excursion.
When: Saturday, October 6, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: $25
Details: Bring your own boat, paddles, pfd. Lunch will be provided.
