Free Introductory Invasive Species Workshop

If your local organization is interested in helping to detect or combat invasive species in your river corridor but are unsure were to start, we can help.  During a free one to two hour workshop (we come to you), the River Alliance can assist your group to identify threats to your watershed, identify goals, and develop a plan of action.  Helping to fight invasive species is a rewarding project for your volunteers and a great means to create valuable new partnerships.

Free Project RED Training

The River Alliance, the DNR and CitSci.org have partnered to provide workshops throughout the state to teach volunteers how to monitor for invasive species in their home waters.  Free of charge at a location convenient to you, we will facilitate a 3 hour workshop that covers basic monitoring protocols and how to manage your data.  Get a jump start on the field season and call us today!  Monitoring is easy and a fun excuse to get out and paddle! Please see our Project RED page for information on trainings.

Additional Technical Support

The River Alliance is happy to help you find the necessary resources for you to protect your rivers from invasive species. If you are interested in hosting one of the above workshops OR if you do not find what you are looking for in the links below, please contact us at (608) 257-2424 x110.
